The Fostering Friendly programme helps businesses support foster families and the children they care for in their communities while supporting their own employees.

Having a supportive employer can make a significant difference in your ability to balance work and caregiving responsibilities.
The four councils that form our partnership – Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire - are proud to lead the way as Fostering Friendly employers. This means that any of our colleagues receive additional annual leave and flexibility on their working hours to help them to foster. We’re also encouraging other local employers to come forward to become fostering friendly as we know how much this supports our foster carers.
