Parent and child fostering
Change a life, help support a future
Change a life, help support a future
Parent and child fostering is where a vulnerable parent or parents, often within the later stages of pregnancy or with a newborn, stays with a foster carer. Your role is to support the parents to learn the skills they need to look after their child, whilst ensuring the child is safe and happy whilst these skills are developing. This can often keep families together and can have long lasting positive effects for the child and parent.
This role is very specialist and has additional requirements – such as the space to home another adult and their child and additional training. For this you will receive an enhanced payment and support.
