Short break support
Change a life, help support a future
Change a life, help support a future
Short breaks carers offer regular, planned and ongoing support to children and young people who have a disability, at weekends or during school holidays.
As a short breaks carer you become a vital part of a wider support network to a family in need of additional help. This type of respite care often helps them to cope as a family, sometimes even helping keep them together as a family.
This type of fostering can often work well alongside other commitments, such as full-time employment.
